Julian Slama
Owner, Manager
Julian Slama began his journey in trim carpentry during his teenage years, apprenticing under his father, Dean Slama. Honing his skills on job sites from a young age, he developed a strong foundation in craftsmanship and construction. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management with a Minor in Business from Louisiana State University, Julian re-established the family business in 2011 as Slama Construction LLC. Under his leadership, the company has continued to thrive, blending time-honored techniques with modern project management and design sensibilities.
Dean Slama, Sr.
Founder
Dean founded the DH Slama Construction, finish trim carpentry company, in 1976. With a background in finishing custom boat interiors, Dean brought a meticulous attention to detail and a passion for craftsmanship into the residential finish carpentry scene. As a father of five boys, Dean passed on his legacy by guiding each of them through apprenticeships, instilling in them the skilled art of woodcrafting and finish trim carpentry. Together, they built a family business grounded in precision, tradition, and a deep respect for the craft.
